Walking In Wisdom

The same God that created the stars in the heavens and everything in creation created us. We are more than a physical body with a brain. We are an eternal spirit made in the image and likeness of God. Scripture says “The spirit of man is the candle of the Lord, searching all the inward parts of the belly.” Our spirit can be compared to a candle that will lead us and guide us. One of the most important things we can learn to do is to hear from God. If you can hear from God, and then follow that leading, you will be successful. Most people make their plans based on their own understanding and intellect. They do analysis and research to determine what would be the best course of action in their particular situation. However, they fail to consult the One who knows it all – the Spirit of God.

Some people think that they “know it all” but they don’t. The Spirit of God who lives inside of you really does know it all and wants to communicate that knowledge to you. You are free to ignore Him if you wish but Colossians 2:2-3 says, “…of the Father, and of Christ; In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.” He will never force you to listen to Him, but your life will be blessed if you do.

The Holy Spirit is a gentleman. For Him to give you direction, you will have to yield to Him and ask for His assistance. When you do, He will communicate from His Spirit to yours. As He leads you, you will know what to do in your situation. You will never regret following the guidance of the Holy Spirit.
