Made To Soar

Eagles are born with an innate desire to fly. The Creator places within them the ability to soar at extreme heights. They fly higher than any other bird and are often referred to as “the king of the skies.” There are 33 verses in the Bible that refer to the eagle.

Isaiah 40:31 says, “But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.” To mount up doesn’t mean merely to flap your wings! The Message Bible says, “They spread their wings and soar like eagles.” Because of our relationship with the Lord, we have the ability to arise, ascend, and mount up in any situation. We have the ability to soar above any problem or difficulty that we might face.

To soar means more than just to fly. It means to rise swiftly, to feel the wind slipping below you as you ride it higher and higher. Just as the eagle knows how to soar effortlessly at amazing altitudes, the Lord places within the heart of every believer a lofty dream that sends us soaring to new heights.

  1. To soar means our affection is set on things above – not on things on the earth (Col. 3:2).

  2. To soar means we are filled with joy unspeakable and full of glory (1 Pet. 1:8).

  3. To soar means we are going from faith to faith; from victory to victory (1 John 5:4).

We are created to soar. Dare to step out of your comfort zone and catch the wind of the Spirit and achieve your God given destiny!
