Heaven Is Real

Heaven is a real place. Those of us who have surrendered our lives to Christ will make Heaven our eternal home. Jesus said in John 14:3, “And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am there ye may be also.” Just imagine. For the last two thousand years, Jesus has been preparing a place just for you. Heaven is a beautiful place. The Bible says that there are streets of gold, and the gates of the city are made of one pearl per gate.

Heaven will be wonderful because Jesus will be there. Martin Luther declared, “I’d rather be in hell with Christ than in Heaven without Him.” In Heaven, we will actually dwell with God, in person and see Him face to face. We will walk with God, talk with God and see Him for who He is. Jack Graham said, “We will actually feel at home there. We will be welcomed with open arms there. We will be loved unconditionally there. We will laugh and find ultimate fulfillment there.” Colton Burpo said, “Heaven is a real destination. It is not a figment of our imagination or wishful thinking. Heaven is a supremely good place because God can do nothing but that which is awesome and grand.”

Heaven is a holy place because God Himself is holy. It is a place where no impurity exists. Heaven reflects the character and nature of God. There are no havens of corruption or darkness in this city. Every aspect of this place is spotless and pure. Heaven is a place of great joy and gladness. There will be no more death, mourning, pain, or sadness. Just think – no more hospitals, funeral services or cemeteries will be found there. Heaven is an exceptional place. It is full of life, joy, and peace.

Great times of fellowship will fill the atmosphere of Heaven as believers reunite with those they loved on the earth (fathers and mothers, sisters and brothers, etc.) Also, we will meet the patriarchs of the faith that we have come to know through the reading of the scripture and the preaching of the Word. What a joy that will be to meet face to face with Abraham, David, Peter, and Paul.

Jesse Duplantis said, “I can’t explain how wonderful Heaven is. I can only agree with Paul’s words in I Corinthians 2:9, “No one has ever imagined what God has prepared for those who love Him.” Heaven was not made by mortal hands but by God Himself. Heaven is a special place and will be our everlasting home.
