Faith is the Victory

Living by faith is not the way most people live. They live by their sight, their feelings, and their circumstances. It takes faith to move the obstacles that the devil puts in your way. Faith is believing what God said is true and acting on it. The scripture says in Hebrews 11:1, “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen.” The word “substance” means “assurance, confidence, and title deed.” This describes the behavior of faith. This kind of faith knows what it wants and won’t let go until it gets it! It’s the kind of faith that will not bend under pressure. It is faith with gumption and backbone. It does not matter how long it takes to see results nor how many obstacles are in the way.

The scripture says in 1 John 5:4, “And this is the victory that overcomes the world, even our faith.” We walk by faith and not by sight. God has given us the Word so that we do not become disoriented. Just like the pilot that looks to his instruments to determine his speed, altitude, and direction, we look to the Word of God for our bearings and trust and rely on what He has said. God wants us to live in victory. The victory that overcomes the world is our faith.
